At your Atlanta Spa, we offer a service called Guided Emotional Healing to deal with just that. Also known as the Journey Technique, your journey of transformation is a dynamic, inspirational, and innovative process in the field of personal growth and mind-body-healing. This technique allows you to get direct access to your soul, where you’ll find unconditional love, boundless peace, and tap into your essence. Your guide, Rolene, will help you facilitate and access your inner wisdom. Rolene offers a holistic approach to healing with a unique spiritual focus, recognizing that healing involves more than just talk therapy. In your session, which typically lasts 1.5 to 2 hours, Rolene will walk you safely through the journey of soul-searching and healing at a cellular level. You will travel through your body using guided imagery, which helps you recognize that you are a personal part of your healing process. This work is about Freedom. We sense a huge potential in ourselves and long to experience it, yet something holds us back. We want to set ourselves free, but we don't know how. WHAT IS EFT?

Emotional freedom technique (EFT) is an alternative treatment for physical pain and emotional distress. It’s also referred to as tapping or psychological acupressure. This

technique entails tapping on several pressure points, like the face and upper body. Tapping on the face creates a balance in your energy system and helps to deals with pain. According to its developer, Gary Craig, a disruption in energy is the cause of all negative emotions and pain. EFT tapping has been used to treat people with anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorders (PTSD), stress, eating disorders, depression and a host of other medical and psychological issues.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

We have certain points on our body, think of them like energy hot spots, where your body’s energy fields

Like acupuncture, EFT focuses on the meridian points, (or energy hot spots) restoring balance to your body’s energy fields. It’s believed that restoring this energy balance can relieve symptoms, negative experiences or emotions. Based on Chinese medicine, meridian points are thought of as areas of the body through which energy flows. These pathways help balance the energy flow to maintain your health, any imbalance inhibits wellness.

Acupuncture uses needles to apply pressure to these energy points. EFT uses fingertip tapping to apply pressure. Tapping helps you access your body’s energy which send signals to the hypothalamus, pituitary, adrenal axes, the amygdala and the prefrontal cortex. This stimulation, through EFT tapping, reduces stress and negative emotions, thereby helping restore balance to your energy fields.

Prior to your Journey, we suggest a light meal and the avoidance of any alcohol or narcotics, as they will inhibit access to your emotions. Following your Journey, I suggest that you take time to rest and reflect, as a great deal of healing has taken place at a cellular level. Drink lots of water, eat light meals, continue to avoid alcohol and narcotics, and enjoy a warm bath with Epsom salts. These small acts of self-care will allow you to remain open for further growth and healing.
